Gomez, disclosed to host Jimmy Kimmel, her unusual habit of falling asleep to a comforting TV series, particularly Segel’s sitcom How I Met Your Mother. So, when Segel waved at her during the Emmys, Gomez eagerly reciprocated, only to realise he was waving to someone behind her, leaving her feeling embarrassed. To further exacerbate the situation, Blanco, Gomez’s boyfriend, chimed in by informing Segel, “Oh, she falls asleep to you every night,” adding another layer of awkwardness.

Gomez, taken aback by Blanco’s candid revelation, couldn’t help but react with a mixture of horror and amusement, exclaiming, “That’s weird!” However, she candidly admitted to Kimmel that Blanco’s statement was indeed true, leading to a shared laugh between the two.

Despite Blanco’s tendency to inadvertently embarrass Gomez, their relationship appears to be flourishing. First romantically linked in December 2023, the couple seems to be going strong, with Gomez providing insight into their dynamic during a recent interview on New Music Daily on Apple Music 1.

Gomez emphasised the importance of being with someone who respects her and understands her world. She expressed gratitude for feeling safe in their relationship and acknowledged personal growth through their connection, ultimately describing the experience as “awesome.”
