MAMA Nominations out, K-pop fans will be totally busy

The Mnet Asian Music Awards(MAMA) is one of the biggest K-pop award ceremonies that takes place every year during December. Mnet dropped the list of nominees for this year’s ceremony yesterday and fans were quick to take over all the trending positions as they got busy voting online for their favorite artists to win is their respected categories.

The MAMA awards are to be held on December 4 at the Nagoya Dome in Japan. Nagoya Dome is the largest venue the function has booked since the inception of the music awards. The theme for this year’s MAMA celebration is “The NEXT DIMENSION: MUSIC “– Music of the New Era.

The award function, like the previous years will be held in Korea, Japan and Hong Kong and will be broadcasted in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.

There are several categories this year like Artist of the year, Song of the year, Worldwide Fan’s Choice, Best New Male Artist, Best New Female Artist, Best Male Group, Best Female Group etc. Fans are to vote for their favorite artists through social media like Twitter with the “#artistname” or through Mnet’s official app/website.
