Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Spend Quality Time Together Before NFL Season

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s whirlwind summer romance is wrapping up as Kelce, 34, returns to Missouri for training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs. Following a summer filled with work and travel alongside Swift, also 34, a source exclusively tells PEOPLE that Kelce wanted to cherish every moment with his superstar girlfriend before focusing back on football.

“Travis’ last few concerts were bittersweet,” says the insider about Kelce’s visit to see Swift in Germany during her Eras Tour. “They knew their time together was coming to an end, so he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor.”

Despite their demanding schedules often keeping them in different cities, the source notes that Swift and Kelce make every effort to be together as their relationship nears its one-year mark. “It’s definitely tough to be apart, but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other,” the source shares. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”

Kelce, who also spent his off-season filming ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series ‘Grotesquerie,’ is now back in “football mode,” according to another insider. “His team and the Chiefs remain a top priority.” The Chiefs are holding open practices during training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, with their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, before the regular season kicks off.

Upon his return to training camp on Kelce debuted a new look with a mustache, which the Chiefs highlighted on Instagram with the caption, “KILLA STACHE IS BACK 👨🏻.” Meanwhile, Swift is performing in Hamburg and Munich this week before heading to Poland. She will return to the United States in October to conclude her record-breaking Eras Tour.
