Chlöe Announces Release Date for Second Album ‘Trouble in Paradise’
“A storm is coming” this summer: On 5th August, Chlöe announced the release of her sophomore album, ‘Trouble in Paradise’, scheduled for 9th August, under Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records.
The 26-year-old multi-talented artist unveiled the release date on social media, featuring an image of herself in midnight blue water, adorned in a neon green dress. She captioned the pre-save announcement with a hint of impending excitement.
Among the comments, Tinashe expressed her excitement over Chlöe’s announcement on Instagram.
Chlöe described her upcoming album as capturing the essence of a summer fling during an interview with Billboard on the 2024 BET Awards red carpet. She shared that the album’s production was heavily influenced by her fascination with the Caribbean, incorporating Afrobeats and island vibes, which listeners will notice in the music.
Earlier this year, Chlöe released singles ‘FYS’ and ‘Boy Bye,’ and contributed to remixes of Nigerian artist Qing Madi’s ‘Vision’ and Tinashe’s hit ‘Nasty,’ which reached No. 7 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.
In a cover story for Nylon in June, Chlöe revealed that her sister Halle, Anderson .Paak, and Jeremih would be featured on her forthcoming album.
‘Trouble in Paradise’ follows more than a year after her debut solo album, ‘In Pieces,’ which featured 14 tracks with collaborations from Chris Brown, Missy Elliott, and Future. ‘In Pieces’ reached No. 119 on the Billboard 200 and No. 17 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The singer’s social media post, showcasing her in a neon green dress amidst midnight blue water, perfectly captures the album’s anticipated vibe. The influence of Caribbean sounds and Afrobeats, inspired by the singer’s fascination with the region, adds a fresh and vibrant twist to her music.
