2024 MTV Video Music Awards Lineup Features Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and More

This year’s MTV Video Music Awards are set to be a dazzling celebration of female talent, with an exciting line-up of performances that showcase some of the biggest names in the industry. Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Camila Cabello, GloRilla and Rauw Alejandro are all confirmed to perform at the prestigious event, which will take place on 11th September. The date has been moved a day back to avoid clashing with the U.S. presidential debate.

Sabrina Carpenter has had an incredible year, dominating the summer music charts with her hits ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please.’ She is one of the most nominated artists at this year’s VMAs, with six nods, including the coveted Artist of the Year. Fans are eagerly awaiting her VMA performance, which will come shortly after the release of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Short n’ Sweet,’ on 23rd August.

Rapper GloRilla and Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro are also making waves, each securing three nominations. GloRilla is in the running for Best Hip-Hop, Best Collaboration, and MTV Push Performance of the Year. Rauw Alejandro’s hit song ‘Touching the Sky’ has earned him nominations for Best Latin, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography.

Camila Cabello, known for her hit ‘Havana,’ is also among this year’s performers and is nominated for Best Pop for her latest album, ‘C, XOXO.’ Meanwhile, Chappell Roan has earned two nominations, including Best New Artist.

Despite Sabrina Carpenter’s impressive haul of nominations, Taylor Swift leads the pack with a staggering 10 nods for her critically acclaimed album, ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department.’ Following closely behind is her ‘Fortnight’ collaborator, Post Malone, with nine nominations for his album ‘F-1 Trillion.’

If Taylor Swift takes home the Video of the Year award for ‘Fortnight,’ she will make history as the first artist to win in this category three years in a row, following her victories with ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ and ‘Anti-Hero’ in the past two years.
