Christina Aguilera Joins Sabrina Carpenter and Machine Gun Kelly for 25th Anniversary of Debut Album

Christina Aguilera has marked the 25th anniversary of her self-titled debut album with a special collaboration featuring Sabrina Carpenter and Machine Gun Kelly – check it out below.

After hinting at a surprise with Carpenter on 23rd September, Aguilera has officially revealed an anniversary event celebrating 25 years of Christina Aguilera. As part of a Spotify event, Aguilera joined forces with Carpenter to perform her hit song ‘What A Girl Wants’.

Before the duet, Sabrina Carpenter confessed she was “freaking out” and told Christina Aguilera: 

“I think the first time I ever heard your voice was [when] my mom played me a video of you singing at eight years old, ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’. That was the most inspiring thing for me ever to see as a young girl that wanted to sing, but just didn’t think I could do it at that age.”

Machine Gun Kelly also made an appearance, playing guitar for ‘Genie in a Bottle,’ with his cameo beginning around 4 minutes and 38 seconds. Watch the full event below:

Aguilera launched her Las Vegas residency in December of last year, delivering a career-spanning set with impressive production elements. Titled ‘A Truly Modern Twist’, the residency was held at Voltaire at The Venetian.

However, the singer had to suddenly postpone the rest of her residency shows due to coming down with the flu.
