10 Dark Animated TV Shows
Some darker animated series demonstrate how effective cartoons can be in conveying important messages; they don’t necessarily have to be lighthearted and enjoyable. For a long time, animation was mostly thought of as children’s entertainment, and the genre was defined by Saturday morning cartoons in the 1980s. However, animation now encompasses a wide range of narratives, including series that deal with delicate and emotive subjects.
While some shows targeted at teens or even children address difficult emotional matters, adult animation frequently conceals its deeper concerns under vibrant imagery and absurd humour. Even shows like ‘Bluey’ have adult-oriented themes in their episodes. In many respects, animation offers greater creative latitude than live-action television and is excellent for examining weighty subjects.
