10 Studio Ghibli Films Worthy of a Theatrical Re-release

Having captivated audiences all over the world since its founding in 1985, Studio Ghibli is without a doubt the most recognizable Japanese animation studio of all time. Ghibli, renowned for its abundance of cherished classics and innovative works, has raised the standard for family animation and gained praise from those outside of the anime community. With ‘The Boy and the Heron,’ their recent Oscar victory, Ghibli confirms their skill at creating enthralling, unforgettable stories.

Bringing back classic favourites like ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ and ‘Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind,’ together with contemporary masterpieces like ‘The Tale of the Princess Kaguya’ and ‘The Boy and the Heron,’ Studio Ghibli announced its most comprehensive theatrical re-release tour to date in 2024. Although this tour allows fans to revisit some of Ghibli’s best films on a large screen, some of the studio’s films should be shown in theatres for more than a few short days.
