15 Avengers Strong Enough to Dominate the Marvel Universe

The Avengers are often celebrated as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but a small twist in their moral compass could easily turn them into Earth’s Greatest Villains. Throughout their history, many Avengers have made questionable decisions. For instance, Iron Man ignited the superhuman civil war, transforming allies into foes. Ant-Man's creation of Ultron is another example, and let’s not forget that the Hulk is just one bad day away from potentially tearing the team apart.

Among the most formidable members of the Avengers, several possess the power to rule the Marvel Universe. Some have even come close to achieving that power, while others have actually taken the throne in various iterations across the Marvel multiverse.
