A Counting of All the Feathers on Cardi B’s Cap
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have a number of feathers to add to their caps today, as their latest treat, ‘WAP’ has brought home many wins. For starters, the duo made their explosive landing on the Billboard 100 chart, right at No. 1. This marks Cardi’s fourth claim of that special spot and Megan Thee Stallion’s second.
Further, ‘WAP’ also raked in 93 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 13 – the most for any track ever in its first week of release. Now, while this track has witnessed a lot of fanfare, we figured we’d celebrate by looking back on some of Cardi’s equally powerful victories. After the rap star’s debut studio album, “Invasion of Privacy” made its landing in 2018, it immediately put her on the map. And since then, she’s gone on to change the rap game, developing her own unique style and pushing out banger after banger. And so, it’s no surprise that ‘WAP’ has earned the spotlight.
Brace yourself for some of her older path breaking wins and you’ll see what we mean.
