Justin Bieber just unleashed maximum vulnerability with a brand new single, ‘Lonely’. The track details his lonely times under the spotlight of superstardom as a young boy. Further, featuring Benny Blanco, the track delivers a delicate, yet powerful arrangement of the piano, combined with Bieber’s soulful vocals.
Now, upon release, the track was immediately devoured by fans. Stunned by his voice and the content of the song, the track spread like wildfire on social media, drawing attention from non-fans, too. Further, many believe that the track may make its way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 rankings this week. 2. Speaking of ‘Baby’, in 2013, Bieber received a Diamond award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) acknowledging this single as the highest-certified digital song of all time.
3. In February 2015, the young star released the heartwrenching tune, ‘Where Are Ü Now’. The song even scored a Grammy for Best Dance Recording at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
4. And while we’re on the topic of the Grammys, get this: Justin has earned ten Grammy nominations. Which is no simple feat.
5. If you thought those figures were mind-boggling, well, you aren’t ready for this. Bieber also has a whopping nineteen Billboard Music Awards under his belt. You might need a minute to let that sink in.
6. On November 13, 2015, the release of “Purpose” notched the star’s sixth debut at number one, with this buzzing album. He also became the first artist, since Elvis Presley in 2005, to replace his own song as number one on the UK Singles Chart.
7. The whirlwind of success surrounding “Purpose” didn’t stop there. It became the most streamed album on Spotify in one week. The record also scored the most simultaneous tracks and most simultaneous new entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 by a solo artist.
8. In 2016, Justin also collected a number of Guinness World records under his belt. This included records for the most followers on Twitter by a male and the most viewed music channel on YouTube by an individual.
9. Circling back to his steadily growing list of awards. Justin has earned twenty three Teen Choice Awards. He’s also won twenty one MTV Europe Music Awards, which marks the most awards received by a single artist to date.
10. And finally, Justin’s latest album, “Changes” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts, earning him his seventh No. 1 album.
