All You Need to Know: Celebrating Paul McCartney
Legendary British musician, Paul McCartney, turns 78 years old today. Through his iconic career, he has seen it all. From being a hero as part of The Beatles, to being vilified for breaking up the band, and everything in between, Paul has had to deal with some unusual ups and downs.
Lucky for us, Paul McCartney isn’t the type to shy away from speaking his mind or telling it like it is. From his debaucherous sexscapades as part of one of the most famous bands in history, to stories of drug use and conspiracies, he has bared his stories for the world to see.
As he celebrates his birthday today, dive deep into the controversial, magnanimous presence that is Paul McCartney.

4. His many years in the industry have not come without strange rumours. But, this one, is conspiracy at its finest – “Paul is dead”. Achieving the status of an urban legend, this theory is seen as legitimate in the view of many. It posits that Paul actually died in 1966 and was replaced by the winner of a Paul McCartney look alike contest.

5. Like we said, he isn’t afraid of speaking his mind, and that bears the risk of coming across as xenophobic sometimes. He recently found himself in hot water when he basically blamed the Chinese for the coronavirus, saying: “They will not close down these wet markets, that got us into this trouble in the first place. They need to clean up their act. This may lead to [change]. If this doesn’t, I don’t know what will.”
