Carly Rae Jepsen & Songwriting: The Charms & Quirks
Recently, Carly Rae Jepsen brought around that festive cheer with her charming new release, ‘It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries‘. Featuring sleigh bells and the star’s honeyed vocals, this is certainly one of the more quirkier Christmas anthems, but deserves a spot on your festive playlist, nonetheless.
But perhaps what made this track all the more special, was it’s hilarious lyrics. Carly is heard singing, “My boyfriend is a vegan, so they fed him fish/ My uncle made it worse by talking politics/ I had a few opinions might have started a fight/ Well, it’s not Christmas till somebody cries“. It certainly adds quite the flavour to the song, doesn’t it? And so, that got us thinking, why don’t we cherry-pick some of the star’s most interesting lyrics? Well, you’re in for one hell of a rollercoaster ride, so fasten your seatbelts!
