Jake Gyllenhaal’s recent mention as a potential Batman for the DC Universe’s ‘The Brave and the Bold’ has sparked fan excitement, but other DC roles might better showcase his talents. In a recent interview discussing his film ‘Roadhouse,’ Gyllenhaal’s remarks drew comparisons between the fight scenes in the movie and those typically associated with Batman.
Interestingly, he was previously considered for the role in ‘Batman Begins’ before it went to Christian Bale. While Gyllenhaal could handle the Caped Crusader, his versatility suggests he might excel in roles that allow him to fully showcase his acting range, which could be somewhat limited by the reserved nature of the Dark Knight.
