Ellie Goulding & Songwriting: The Old & New Gems
Ellie Goulding has once again livened up the music scene with her brand new album, ‘Brightest Blue’. After months of anticipation, a string of teasers and slices of the concept behind this record: we can finally rest easy.
Fans are thrilled with the release of this album and rightly so. Just for some context, Goulding’s last full-length album made its arrival way back, in 2015. ‘Delirium’ featured gems like ‘Love Me Like You Do’ and ‘On My Mind’ which further skyrocketed the young star to fame.
Now, hopping back to ‘Brightest Blue,’ it is divided into two parts, the first holds the same name and up until now, was clouded under a layer of intrigue. The second part, titled, ‘EG.O’ gave us a taste of the record through tracks like, ‘Worry About Me’ and more recently ‘Slow Grenade,’ featuring Lauv. Both parts arrive with different flavours, the former being far more personal.
