Every Shade of Dua Lipa Through the “Future Nostalgia” Era
Dua Lipa recently revealed that she’d be putting out a remixed version of her latest album, “Future Nostalgia” and the news had fans spiraling. Titled the, “Club Future Nostalgia: The Remix Album”, it boasts of quite a star-studded cast. Dua his picked out some of her biggest role models to work with and they go by the names: Missy Elliott, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Mark Ronson and more. This album is set to make its landing on August 21.
Now, looking back on “Future Nostalgia”, it can certainly be labeled a game-changing album. By kick starting the new retro wave to take over Pop music, all of Dua’s tracks arrived with a strange sensation of both past and future. And this was brilliantly captured by all the stunning visuals that came out during this era. So, with a new version of the album in the works, we figured the best way to celebrate this announcement would be by looking back on “Future Nostalgia” and the many moods it created through teasers.

1. The contrast between her bright red lipstick and sunny yellow top really makes this picture striking. That and the fact that it’s blended all primary colours together.
2. Nothing brightens up the day like watching Dua have a riot of a time. She’s also the only person who can combine pink and orange and still look this good.
3. Oof, she’s just dripping charisma here. And somehow, the cold blue mountains in the background add to the brilliant absurdness of this picture.
4. In Dua’s music video for the track, ‘Physical’ we saw her don literally every colour of the rainbow. And this album certainly takes a deep dive into each shade.
5. From the gold hoops, to the side-eyes, this one’s an ode to all those sultry numbers sitting on “Future Nostalgia”.
6. The cover art for this album mirrored the concept perfectly. The old-timey car and Dua’s outfit brought a certain retro goodness to the table and blended it with the eerie, futuristic landscape.
7. Okay, we’re saying it – Dua’s leather suit shares a strong resemblance to the ones worn by Replicants in ‘Blade Runner’. A call out to the future through an old classic? Perhaps.
8. Between the cocktail of colours in the sky and Dua’s matching eyeshadow – this is a visual spectacle.
9. Against this stunning pale yellow backdrop, it looks like Dua’s inviting us to come closer. And we don’t refuse an invite.
10. Once again, this dreamy landscape combined with Dua’s look perfectly embodies a sensation best described as…”Future Nostalgia”.
