Backstreet Boys--The Florida-based band comprising AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell rose to fame in 1996 with their self-titled album. In 2013, they were honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Blue--Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe make up the English boy band Blue. The band formed in 2000 and has three studio albums to their credit: All Rise (2001), One Love (2002), and Guilty (2003), all of which reached number one in the UK.

Green Day--The pop-punk dynamo Green Day is a quintessential Bay Area band. Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt stormed the Nor Cal punk scene in 1987 and haven't looked back since. Green Day was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, with singles such as 'Basket Case,' 'American Idiot' and '21 Guns'.

Westlife--The Irish quintet (Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Brian McFadden) was signed by Simon Cowell in 1998. Despite their enormous success in the UK, only one of their songs, 'Swear It Again', charted in the US.

The Jackson 5 --The voices behind the legendary singles 'I Want You Back' and 'ABC' were Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson, and Michael Jackson. In 1997, 13 years after Michael quit to pursue a solo career, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
