There are many great post-apocalyptic action films to watch alongside 'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.' This new spinoff in George Miller's high-energy Mad Max series is getting rave early reviews, much like his 2015 hit 'Mad Max: Fury Road.' Since starting in 1979, the Mad Max movies have become more thrilling with each new entry and 'Furiosa' continues this trend.
Most films in this subgenre show a desolate world that was once a thriving society, usually destroyed by human error or external threats like monsters, aliens, or apes. Humanity rarely goes down without a fight, battling both evil forces and opportunistic humans. While not all post-apocalyptic films match the tone of 'Furiosa,' many action-packed movies in this genre make perfect companions for the new Mad Max adventure, check them out below.
