Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has risen to icon status, becoming one of the biggest pop stars in Western music history. And, with hundreds of hit singles under her belt and an uncanny ability to stay relevant, Swift has proven that she’s not going anywhere.

And, as Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album, “1989”, just completed a whopping 300 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart rankings, we’re diving right into some writing gems from the release. Now, at the time of release, “1989” spent 11 weeks atop the Billboard 200, and received 9x platinum certifications.
