Words To Live By: Elton John
Elton John – the moment you hear this name, nothing else comes to your mind except for the term ‘legend’. Recently, the British songwriter and singer was commemorated on a £1,000 gold coin to honor his musical legacy. Well, there is no doubt that he’s the 20th century’s biggest music icon, his first self titled album released in 1970 and since then, there’s no stopping him from creating magic.
He has become a role model for many, be it through his music or him being vocal about being part of the LGBTQ+ community. With a lot of experience in various walks of life, the man clearly has a lot of wisdom to share. Here are the ten times, Elton John spoke sagely.

4. “When stars collide, like you and I, no shadow blocks the sun.”
5. “There’s a time for everyone. If they only learn, that the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.”
6. “I am totally against the war but violence is part of mankind and it’s going to happen, but as musicians I think we’ve got to step up and say ‘come on’.”
7. “The great thing about rock and roll is that someone like me can be a star.”
8. “I’ve never been jealous of anybody’s success. I’ve been flummoxed by it because I don’t understand it, but I’m not jealous of it.”
9. “The worst thing you can do to a child, and I’ve seen it happen so many times, is the silver spoon.”
10. “Fame attracts lunatics.”
