Jennifer Lopez celebrates her 51st birthday today, but let’s be honest, do these numbers really apply to JLo? A few more years down the line and more people are sure to catch on to the fact that the woman might just be immortal. Lopez has come a long way from working as a backup dancer and in short, small budget films.
Currently, Jennifer Lopez has made an impressive name for herself in both the film and music industry. In fact, she’s even regarded as the most influential Hispanic performer in the U.S and credited with breaking ethnic barriers in the entertainment industry. Now, coming to the music front, the star released her debut album in 1999 and subsequently went on to contribute to the ‘Latin explosion’ on the music scene. Hailed as a “breakout star” and “style icon,” she’s gone on to inspire a number of other powerful musicians from the likes of Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, Selena Gomez, Becky G – yup, it’s a long list.
