Yungblud & Songwriting: The Politics & The Freakshow
It appears that the up and coming Yungblud has notched yet another impressive collaboration. The rising star has previously worked in league with Halsey, Machine Gun Kelly, Imagine Dragons and more. And this time around, he’s working with fellow rockers, Bring Me the Horizon.
Both acts just dropped a track titled, ‘Obey’. And much like the sinister undertone of the title, the song too dabbles with some pretty dark themes. Oh and the visualizer? It picks up on the good ol’ cliche of a monster stomping through a city. Interestingly enough, this content proves to be right up Yungblud’s alley as the star often chooses topics that are all sorts of bizarre but still urge you to contemplate. They take twists and turns down strange roads, ripe with political sentiment and open to all the anxieties of the youth. And that’s what makes his music stand apart.
So, in light of this brand new release, we’ve decided to give you a taste of Yungblud’s wackier side and strong political ideologies. And we’re doing this by shining the light on some of his most brilliant bits of songwriting. So, sit back because this is going to be one hell of a thrill ride!
