‘Brave New World’: The Shortest Movie in the Captain America Franchise

In less than a month, the fourth film in the ‘Captain America’ series, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, will be released in theatres. Anthony Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson, will be the new Captain America in this movie. The Julius Onah-directed film will feature new characters, such as Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk, in addition to returning old favourites. More details about the movie, including its duration, have surfaced as the premiere date draws near.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is the shortest of the four Captain America movies, with a duration of 118 minutes, according to a recent ComicBook article. By contrast, the duration of the 2014 sequel, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, was 136 minutes, whilst the 2011 film, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, lasted 124 minutes. ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016), the series’ longest movie, was 147 minutes long.

Fans have expressed some concern over the film’s numerous reshoots and significant changes from its initial premise. Reshoots, however, are common for Marvel films. Sam Wilson and Ford’s character, freshly elected President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who had previously pushed for more stringent government oversight of the Avengers, will battle in the film. Like his predecessor Steve Rogers, Sam disagrees with this idea. In order to provide a distinct viewpoint on the position, Director Onah has stated that he is excited to examine Sam’s transformation from a former soldier and counsellor to Captain America.
Carl Lumbly plays Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas plays Ruth/Sabra, and Danny Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres, who will assume the role of the next Falcon. Xosha Roquemore, Seth Rollins, and Rosa Salazar play unspecified parts, while Liv Tyler reprises her role as Betty Ross. On 14th February, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ will be released in theatres.
