However, numerous actors have portrayed iconic characters before, demonstrating that different interpretations can help define a single character. Some portrayals, like a certain controversial villain from ‘Spider-Man 3’, gain appreciation over time.
The history behind ‘Spider-Man 3’ is almost as famous as the character “Bully Maguire” or the awkward introduction of Venom amid other villains. Sam Raimi’s last film in the Spider-Man series has garnered fan admiration for its ability to capture the spirit of the previous films while introducing complex characters. Topher Grace’s portrayal of Venom has often faced criticism, but over time, fans have begun to recognize the charm and depth he brought to the role.

Grace’s Eddie Brock embodies the characteristics of a man striving for success but lacking integrity. This portrayal, while not aligning perfectly with comic depictions, has left a lasting impression. In contrast, the recent Tom Hardy films depict Venom as a more comedic and heroic character, distancing him from Peter Parker’s nemesis role.
