The recently released trailer for Marvel Studios’ ‘Thunderbolts’ gives fans a glimpse into the complex lives of characters like Yelena and US Agent, who are grappling with the monotony of normalcy.
Despite their attempts to settle down, it’s clear that their desire for action and adventure hasn’t faded. The trailer hints at their return to the thrill they once knew, and it seems Thunderbolts may be the answer to their longing for purpose.

In the opening scenes, US Agent is portrayed as a weary figure, adjusting to parenthood while yearning for the adrenaline-fueled life he left behind. This sets the stage for his potential comeback into action. The trailer reveals a lot of hidden clues, which many fans may have missed on first viewing. We’re here to help break it all down.
Yelena, on the other hand, is seen struggling to find her path. Despite her father, Red Guardian (Alexei Shostakov), being content with his life, Yelena still yearns for battle. Although she hides in plain sight, she can’t resist getting involved in conflicts that don’t concern her. The timeline of the film remains unclear, but it’s likely set after Hawkeye, with Yelena still in search of her identity as Black Widow.

Meanwhile, the trailer teases Sebastian Stan’s character dealing with legal troubles. Although it’s uncertain what predicament he’s in, it’s possible that Baron Zemo will make a return, given that ‘Thunderbolts’ focuses on a team of misfits and villains. The lack of an obvious antagonist in the trailer adds to the mystery.
A pivotal moment shows Yelena discovering a room filled with files and experimental equipment. She encounters a US Agent, who attacks her just as she uncovers something significant. The tension escalates when the doors slam shut, and ducts release what could be a substance to sedate them, leading to their capture.
The presence of Bob, possibly Sentry, becomes more evident as the scene unfolds. The room seems to contain documents linked to Sentry, hinting at his potential involvement. Fans familiar with the comics will recognise Bob as Robert Reynolds, who accidentally ingested a super-soldier serum enhanced 100,000 times, turning him into the immensely powerful Sentry.
Further hints suggest that Bob might have escaped from a containment facility, as his clothes appear burnt and riddled with bullet holes. This trailer not only teases epic action but also layers of intrigue, with Sentry’s role in the ‘Thunderbolts’ universe slowly coming into focus.
