The event slipped through an unmarked door in Bangalore, and entering Jollygunj felt like stepping into the 1920s. The bar, carved from rich dark wood, stood beneath portraits fading into sepia, and a bassline throbbed gently, refusing to let you go. It's smoky, dimly lit, and just unruly enough to make you forget the hour. Dress to impress, order something bold, and don't expect to leave until the music says so — though, if the rumours are true, it rarely ever does.
