Amoghavarsha JS isn’t your typical filmmaker. With a background in computer science and stints at tech giants like Amazon and startups, his journey to becoming a successful wildlife filmmaker and photographer is as diverse as his talents.

His most recognized feat? ‘Wild Karnataka,’ a stunning exploration of the state’s rich biodiversity, narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough. This groundbreaking film, not only bagged the National Film Award for ‘Best Exploration/Adventure Film’ but also made history as the first Indian wildlife documentary to grace cinema screens and run for 50 glorious days.

But Amoghavarsha’s artistry extends beyond wildlife. He served as an art director for Ricky Kej’s Grammy-winning album ‘Divine Tides,’ showcasing his creative versatility. His commitment to environmental awareness is evident in his collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, and institutions on conservation and education projects. Notably, he played a key role in the impactful ‘Science Express – Biodiversity Special’ that reached millions across India.

His passion for storytelling transcends mediums. He has graced the prestigious TED Talks India stage, captivating audiences with his insights. His photography has adorned prestigious galleries like UGallery and Williams Sonoma, solidifying his position as a visual artist of exceptional caliber.

Amoghavarsha’s latest venture, ‘Gandhada Gudi,’ starring the late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, is another testament to his ability to weave captivating narratives that resonate with audiences.
