Beyonce & Songwriting: Gems From “Black Is King”

Beyonce recently created quite the splash when she dropped her full-length visual album, “Black Is King”. And as fans continue to reel from that grand spectacle, she’s arrived with yet another treat to lap up: the stunning video for ‘Brown Skin Girl.’

Previously, this video found its space as a part of the main film but now, Beyonce has presented it to the world as a stand alone piece. Oh and here’s the kicker: the video enlists some familiar faces. And they go by the names, Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and even her former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland. Much like her other tracks on this record, this tune is a celebration of Black culture and excellence. So, before you run off to get a peek at the visuals, we figured it’d be a good time to look back on all the teachings “Black Is King” has offered.
