‘BLACKPINK: The Album’: An Unforgettable Era
For the past few months, BLACKPINK have left Blinks world over bubbling with anticipation and sitting at the edge of their seats. And today, “BLACKPINK: The Album” has finally made its explosive landing. Nursing a good eight tracks and two starry features from the likes of Selena Gomez and Cardi B – this album simply swept the shore of the music landscape, leaving a string of gems behind.
So, to celebrate the release of their brand new album, we’ve decided to pick out the greatest gems from this era. Trudging way back to their first single, ‘How You Like That’ up until the album release, there’s lots of ground to cover. From a peek at their soundscape to the various themes the band dabbled with – we’re dipping our hands into everything. Not to mention the fact that we’re also tracing the victories swarming around some of these tracks too. So, without further ado, here’s every shade of the band during the “BLACKPINK: The Album” era.

2. Featuring grand sets, scorching rap verses and haunting melodies – this track proved to be an adrenaline rush from start to finish.
3. BLACKPINK in stunning black gowns is a sight that greeted us with this music video for this song. And as you can see, it raked in some phenomenal viewing figures within an incredibly short span of time.
4. Upon release, the music video broke several YouTube records, including ones for the most-watched premiere, the most views within 24 hours for a music video – earning them a whopping 86.3 million views in that time, and for the fastest jump to 200 million views.
5. Seeing BLACKPINK in casual attire is a little strange after all their dazzling, glamorous outfits and larger-than-life sets. That being said, the girls still managed to charm our socks off, in no time.
6. In the latter half of August, the band arrived with their second buzzing single off “The Album”. Titled, ‘Ice Cream’ this tune featured Selena Gomez, leaving fans of both acts in an absolute meltdown.
7. This lighthearted pop banger brought home yet another victory for the girls. ‘Ice Cream’ debuted and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking BLACKPINK’s first single to peak inside the top-twenty of the chart.
8. Earlier in the week, the girls teased the title track of their forthcoming album. We got but a brief taste of ‘Lovesick Girls’ through a string of cryptic teasers.
9. Nothing beats a warm, cozy picture of BLACKPINK cuddling up together. On September 29th, the girls revealed their tracklist for “The Album”.
