Every Shade of Taemin In ‘Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 1’
After much anticipation and multiple glances at the clock, Lee Taemin finally dropped his brand new album, ‘Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 1’ along with the visualizer for its lead track, ‘Criminal’.
Forged from dark synths and unique melodies, ‘Criminal’ has once again proven the young star’s ability to weave a groovy dance number with a rather sinister theme. While fans are still reeling from this masterpiece and the other gems on the album, ‘Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 1’ has also topped iTunes charts around the world. So, in light of all this thrilling news, we figured it’s only right to look back on all the moods this record put forth. Taemin has proved his mastery at creating a conceptual album in the past and this time is no different. But to get a better understanding, here’s a taste of every shade of Taemin during this era.

1. The first few teasers that Taemin sprinkled, had fans reeling after one look at those gorgeous tattoos.
2. Ahh Taemin in all his tattooed glory. And yet, this was just the beginning.
3. Between the silvery beads cascading through his fingers and the gentle sunlight drenching his face, this piece is one for museums world over.
4. Here, we get a more familiar taste of Taemin. There’s something calming yet inherently sinister about this teaser, which perfectly captures the idea behind some of the tracks on his album.
5. What would a new album from Taemin be without his classic red suit? Is that a ghost? An apparition? Nope, it’s just Lee Taemin, most likely preparing to bust out the finest moves.
6. Interestingly enough, going way back to Taemin’s ‘Move’ era, there’s a fantastic sense of intrigue he builds by never clearly displaying his face in teasers. It’s a brilliant tactic, one he’s adopted for this album too.
7. From the blood-red cloth to the lush greenery, as stunning as this teaser is, there’s a sense of foreboding. And ultimately, that’s what gives this record its flavour.
8. Taemin on a bed of flowers would certainly take a lot of fans back to his ‘Sayonara Hitori’ era and yet, this one’s so much more darker.

10. Yes, it certainly is. And this is the final stage of his transformation. Let’s be honest, Taemin’s the only star that can rock an eye-patch this well. And so, ‘Never Gonna Dance Again’ tosses up a whole new concept, one that proves to be sinister and all-consuming.
