070 Shake Reveals New Album Release Date and Releases Music Video Featuring Lily-Rose Depp

070 Shake has announced the release date for her upcoming third album, Petrichor, set for November 15, and has shared a two-part lead single titled ‘Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues.’ The New Jersey rapper, whose real name is Danielle Balbuena, stars in the music video alongside her girlfriend, actress, model, and singer Lily-Rose Depp. The ‘Winter Baby’ segment of the track has a jukebox pop vibe, while ‘New Jersey Blues’ leans more towards a dark and brooding tone.

The video draws inspiration from Wong Kar-Wai’s 1995 film ‘Fallen Angels’ and Gaspar Noé’s 2018 movie ‘Climax’. Depp portrays a femme fatale, while Balbuena plays her love interest as they chase each other—watch it below.

Balbuena, who has been in a relationship with Depp since January 2023, announced Petrichor on social media on Tuesday (October 15), along with the new single, marking her first release since last November’s ‘Natural Habitat,’ which features rapper and producer Ken Carson.

‘Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues’ was produced by Dave Hamelin, Patrick Krief, and Tyler Johnson, with Hamelin also serving as an executive producer for Petrichor. In June, Balbuena spoke about Petrichor—the follow-up to her 2022 album You Can’t Kill Me—in an interview with Cultured Magazine, sharing insights about the project.

“It’s going to feel like a breath of fresh air. Petrichor is a feeling – the perfect word to describe this body of music.”

She said of her fans, “I hope they’re willing to take it in, to be thirsty and invigorated by it.”

Balbuena also shared that the album will feature less autotune and fewer synths, replacing them with more guitar compared to her previous work. She debuted in March 2018 with her first EP, Glitter, followed by her debut album Modus Vivendi in January 2020. This was succeeded by ‘You Can’t Kill Me’, which was released in June 2022.

In addition, ‘Natural Habitat’ is featured in the final episode of season three of the HBO/BBC drama Industry, which premiered on 29th September.
