29 Years Old Pictures Of Metallica Are Online


Metallica shared a series of pictures of the band members, on the occasion of their “The Black Album” turning 29 years old. The photos of the American Heavy Metal band were shared by Ross Haflin via his photography page on Facebook.

He captioned the image by saying, “Metallica, The Black Album came out 29 years ago today. These photographs were taken mainly at One on One Studios in North Hollywood during the recording of the album. Also Red Square, Moscow and a few from the tour.”

Details About “The Black Album”

The fifth studio album of Metallica was “The Black Album” which dropped on August 12, 1991. The album took eight month to record at One on One Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Initially, five singles were released which made the band a global sensation. ‘Enter Sandman’, ‘The Unforgiven’, ‘Nothing Else Matters’, Wherever I Roam’ and ‘Sad but True’ promoted the album release.

“The Black Album” became a big hit to break many records apart from being their best selling album, worldwide. It was the fourth album to enter the 550 week milestone on the Billboard 200 and became the longest- charting traditional title in the history. The album was 16x platinum certified by RIAA in 2012 as well.
