5 Tear Jerking Mother’s Day Messages from Musicians
Mother’s Day has come and gone this year, but left us with some tear-jerking tributes. Musicians all over the world took to social media to shower their mothers with sweet, heartfelt words. What’s more, we were all privy to some of the cutest throwback pictures featuring our favourites. Take a look at these beautiful tributes.
1. Taylor Swift
American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, took to Instagram to share a sweet home video of Swift at 10 months old. In the caption, she wrote: “My conversations with my mom have always been and will always be some of my favourites. Our talks are everything to me.” As if that wasn’t enough to get the tears flowing, she ended the post with an empathetic mention, writing: “PS for those of you who are separated from your loved ones or struggling with this day, my heart is with you”.
This post only makes you more emotional when you think about how much Taylor and her Mother, Andrea, have been through together. Last year, Taylor revealed that her Mom had faced a relapse of cancer, and was battling it out. Swift even penned down an emotional Tumblr post addressing her fans at the time. She told everyone that she will be taking a break from touring to spend time with her family.
2. Justin Bieber
Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, took to Instagram to pen some heart-rendering words to his Mom, Pattie Mallette. Along with some adorable childhood pictures, he expressed his gratitude towards his mother. In the caption he wrote: “Can’t express enough the gratitude for all of the things you sacrificed for me! You always believed in me! I love you mom!”
Justin and his mother have been through some serious ups and downs, all in view of the public eye. From Justin’s various misdemeanors to their complicated relationship, the mother-son pair have seen it all. They’re in a good place now, and that’s all that matters.
3. Beyonce
In typical fashion, Beyonce shared a fabulous post dedicated to her mother this Mother’s Day. The singer-songwriter shared a picture that read: “My Mama was a savage, got this sh*t from Tina”. The caption that follows reads: “Thank you for giving me life and thank you for expanding my consciousness. I would not have been able to do any of what I’ve done in my life without your strength, your wisdom and your prayers.”
She continued with the words: “I’m sending all my love and positivity to anyone missing their angel moms today. I love ya’ll deep. Gang gang gang gang.”
4. Travis Scott
In a rare occurrence, rapper Travis Scott got emotional on his Instagram. Posing pictures of his mother, and baby mama Kylie Jenner, he penned a thoughtful message for mothers everywhere. The caption reads: “Mothers! Every day is your day. Today we just gonna do it more special than any other. The patience and courage you maintain bringing life into this world, forever grateful”.

5. Demi Lovato
Much like Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato has had a fairly public family life. From talking about her childhood days to her mother featuring in Demi’s documentary, the two have been open about a lot.
Demi took to Instagram this Mother’s Day to pen down an emotional message to her mother. In the caption, she wrote: “I’m so lucky to be able to call you my mother. Thank you for always being there for me. You never fail to amaze me with your resilience and strength.”
