Frozen at The Billboards

It looks like the soundtrack album to Frozen II is as successful as the movie now! As more people across the country head to movie theatres to see the Disney animated film, the soundtrack album has become the first new full-length soundtrack to take over the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts.

In addition to marking the first soundtrack of an animated film to rule the chart since its prequel, the album is becoming more and more popular by the day. The frame has turned out to be its best showing on the Billboard 200 yet, even after three full tracking weeks have gone by since the soundtrack was originally released back in mid-November.

The first Frozen soundtrack enjoyed a similar rise to the top of the Billboard 200 charts back in 2013. It launched inside the top 20 before eventually climbing all the way to the peak position.

The Frozen II album features eight original compositions performed by actors Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Menzel, Wood, as well as additional editions of some of the potential smashes by Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves and Weezer.

In the soundtrack, there are seven new songs once again, composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez along with the return of Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People from the original movie. In addition to end credits covers of three of the film’s new songs by Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves and Weezer, respectively, there is a deluxe edition featuring a second disc of score tracks by composer Christophe Beck as well as cut songs and instrumentals to the seven songs in the film.

With new artists trying their hand at film soundtracks, this album sure looks refreshing!
