For all of you still soaking up the retro goodness Dua Lipa’s latest album, Future Nostalgia, brought. Well, we’ve got news for you. Not many know that Dua Lipa actually sat down with both Miley Cyrus and Normani to create some tunes for the album. But why didn’t they make the cut?

Dua Lipa stopped by the ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ virtual show to chat all things ‘Future Nostalgia’. As expected, this very question popped up.  When pressed by host Andy Cohen, the pop star hinted at the status of collaborations with both artists.

“Well, the one with Miley that we did together, we actually ended up deciding that we wanted to get into the studio and do something different,” Lipa confessed. “But we actually hadn’t had the chance to get back in and work on something new, so hopefully we’ll do something I guess once quarantine is over and we can all hang out again. We’re hoping to do that.”

If we’re drowning under new music right now, you can imagine the flood that will arrive once our lockdown days are behind us…But thankfully, while Miley and Dua Lipa’s collab might be quite a distance away. With Normani though, it’s a different story.

What Went Down with Normani

“The one with Normani, you might hear…soon,” Dua said. So, it clearly looks like there’s a brand new power couple entering the block. And that means that now, more than ever, we’ve got to keep our eyes and well, ears peeled for any hint of a release date.

We should also mention that Normani’s added feather after feather to her cap when it comes to collabs. In the latter half of last year, she joined forces with Nicki Minaj on the track, ‘Bad to You’ which featured in the film ‘Charlie’s Angels’. In 2020, she struck gold, yet again. Normani teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for the track, ‘Diamonds’ which featured as the lead single for the film, ‘Birds of Prey’.

And whenever her collab with Dua Lipa drops, we can undoubtedly say that it will take the world by storm.
