Well, when two great musicians are ready for a online battle, it just means it’s a good time to be alive even if there is a pandemic. Alicia Keys and John Legend will be taking part in the online battle series on the occasion of Juneteenth.

Alicia Keys and John Legend will come together to honor the 1865 days since slavery ended in Texas. The online battle series started during the quarantine time, since April, 11. It is created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland and has drawn 1.6 million followers to Verzuz Instagram account.

The point of the battle is not to win but fans can debate who would have performed better! This Friday will definitely see John Legend perform “All of Me” and Alicia Key’s “If I Ain’t Got You” and we are guessing more acoustic versions of the new songs.

Alicia Keys and John Legend will be among the other artists who have already taken part in the battle. Ryan Tedder competed with Benny Blanco, Erykah Badu with Jill Scott, Neyo and Johnta Austin and Lil Jon with T-Pain.

So, keep your calendar free on the coming Friday to hear these amazing pianists on the American holiday of freedom.
