A Peek Into the Song-Writing Process Behind These Familiar Hits!

Known for her edgy, electro pop music, the Finnish singer and songwriter, Alma, has been co- writing songs with big names like Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus.

It is not the first time that Alma has worked with these sensational artists. She has also collaborated with Charli XCX,Tove Lo and many more.

The talented Finnish song writer began her music career as she notched the fifth place in a Finnish singing competition. She’s come quite far since then as she recently worked with Miley cyrus on ‘Mother’s Daughter’, ‘Cattitude’ and the heartbreaking song ‘Slide Away,’ which looks back on Miley’s relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

For Alma, writing for chart-topping singers has been a dream come true as she said, “I feel like I am a teenager now, I used to dream of working with people like Miley Cyrus…”
Alma started writing when she was just a teenager, which was a, “way of remedy” from being bullied. Needless to say, every dark cloud has a silver lining, the singer recently worked with one of the most remarkable writers in the music industry, Max Martin, for the power track, “Don’t Call me Angel”
The singer has also come out with her own hit singles, like, “Dye my hair” which topped the Finland chart in 2017.

In an interview, Alma spoke out about her growth in this field, saying, “Be yourself. Don’t rush. Things will happen.  And you aren’t going to get successful in one day….”
