Taylor Swift has been in the news about a documentary that she and her directorial team have been working on. The project was first announced sometime last year, with more details coming to light in the last week of 2019. The title – “Miss Americana,” is also the name of a track on her latest studio album “Lover”. The song itself seems to capture the essence of what it means to be Taylor Swift in today’s world, and so the naming of the documentary as the same, isn’t shocking.

The documentary is said to follow the life of Swift in a way that hasn’t been done before, exploring and presenting parts of her life that have never been shared with her fans or the public. In a statement about the theme of the film, the films’s director Lana Wilson said “Miss Americana is a raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.”
