A piece of good and bad news for BTS fans
BTS fans have been fairly warned to hold on to their dear seats. Here comes some bad news from the boy band, followed by some overjoy-ing news because hey, we’re not sadistic like that.
Big Hit Entertainment announced that BTS has had to cancel their Seoul tour dates which were scheduled for the 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th April.
Big Hit is quoted saying, “Plans for ‘MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR – SEOUL’ included the involvement of a number of global production companies and a large group of expert international crew, with over 200,000 concertgoers expected to attend. However, the current global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has made it impossible at this time to predict the scale of the outbreak during the dates of the concert[s] in April, alongside increasing uncertainty about the cross-border movement of concert staff and equipment.”
The statement continued, “While we hope that the situation will improve, we must take into consideration the health and safety of hundreds of thousands of guests as well as our artists and the dire impact a last-minute cancellation may have on guests from overseas, production companies and staff.”
Now for the good news!
BTS released the official music video for their hit single “ON”. In a video that was more visual poetry than performance, BTS is seen overcoming adversities and scaling heights, together, as seven. The video is moving and fun at the same time, the music being the highlight with powerful lyrics. This is what Big Hit had to say about it, “symbolic representation of ‘ON’ to highlight a different charm of the multifaceted band.”
