At the end of his 15-night, sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Harry Styles received a banner.
As a surprise gift from American TV anchor Gayle King, the soloist became the third performer to have a banner raised at the site. Talking about the banner, Styles said that he was going to come back after everyone leaves, to just sit there and embrace the moments.

Styles is the third musician to have a banner suspended from the Garden rafters. Billy Joel has two of them—one for his 129 performances there and another for his ongoing monthly residency, which has seen him perform 83 times. Phish, on the other hand, acquired their banner in 2017 following their record-breaking Baker’s Dozen stay, during which they performed without repeating a song for 13 consecutive sold-out shows.
Styles also stunned the crowd by performing ‘Ever Since New York,’ a song he hasn’t given a live performance of in the previous four years.
This month, the former member of One Direction continues to set records on the Billboard chart, with ‘As It Was’ peaking at No. 1 for a record-breaking 14th week.
