Recently, actress Aimee Lou Wood expressed her displeasure with a ‘Saturday Night Live’ parody that included a caricature of her character from ‘White Lotus’ season three. The political parody of the well-liked HBO series, ‘White Potus’. It included several former and current SNL cast members portraying public figures at a fictitious resort in the ‘White Lotus’ style.
Sarah Sherman, a ‘Saturday Night Live’ cast member, played Wood's character Chelsea, who made a fleeting appearance in the skit with cartoonish, oversized teeth. The actress wasn't happy with the representation.
Wood posted on Instagram that she thought the sketch lacked ingenuity and was unduly harsh. She was disappointed, particularly because only a few weeks earlier she had enjoyed the show. She agreed that satire plays a significant role in SNL's style, but she wished the show's humor would be more intelligent and clever.

Wood said she received a ton of encouraging comments from fans after posting, and subsequently, she received apologies from people connected to the program, but she didn't name them.
The actress has already discussed the criticism she has received for the way she looks, especially her teeth. At one point, she thought it might hinder her chances of getting on American television. However, she was encouraged to hear from admirers who felt empowered and seen by her unique appearance following her breakthrough performance as Aimee Gibbs in ‘Sex Education’. Young people were telling her that they felt cool for looking like her instead of making fun of her.

Wood added that defying traditional beauty standards felt like a silent act of rebellion in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She keeps using her position to challenge the entertainment industry's limited values.
Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka Trump, Beck Bennett as Vladimir Putin, Jon Hamm as RFK Jr., and others like Chloe Fineman and Marcello Hernández in political roles were among the well-known cameos in the ‘White Potus’ farce.
