Amy Adams expressed her enthusiasm about the idea of playing Taylor Swift’s publicist in a future biopic. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on December 3, where she was promoting her new film Nightb**ch, Adams was informed that Taylor Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, had been advocating for her to portray Tree Paine, Swift’s publicist, due to her red hair. Adams responded that the idea would be "amazing" and "so fun," adding that if it brought her closer to Swift, she would be all for it.
Adams also shared that she recently became a "Swiftie at 50" after attending one of Swift’s shows on the Eras Tour. She humourously referred to herself as a “shifty, 50, Swiftie” and remarked on how much fun she had, although her daughter teased her.

While Adams had always enjoyed Swift’s music, she admitted that her experience at the Eras Tour turned her into an even bigger fan. She said that before attending the concert, she was a casual listener, but afterward, she became fully immersed in the fandom, even collecting friendship bracelets.
Adams also recalled a previous meeting with Swift at a party following an awards show, where they sang karaoke together to 4 Non Blondes’ ‘What’s Up?’ She laughed about singing loudly over Swift, acknowledging that the crowd probably wanted to hear Swift sing instead. In hindsight, Adams reflected that she would have approached the moment differently, as she likely sang too loudly and not very well.
Meanwhile, Swift recently commented on the success of her album The Tortured Poets Department, which became the most-streamed album of 2024 on Apple Music. Adams, on the other hand, is currently starring in the horror-comedy Nightb**ch, which is set to be released in cinemas in the UK and US on December 6.
