Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor’s Sci-Fi ‘Flowervale Street’ Gets New Release Date

‘Flowervale Street’, the eagerly awaited science fiction movie directed by David Robert Mitchell and starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, has been postponed. The movie, which was originally scheduled to open on 13th March 2026, will now open on 14th August 2026. Warner Bros. Discovery is certain that the film would draw a bigger audience in the summer, so they decided to push the release date as they rearrange their slate ahead of Comic-Con.
Although there are still many unanswered questions, the movie has been called an exciting IMAX-shot experience. Christian Convery and Maisy Stella are also in the cast, and Mitchell is directing from his own original screenplay.
Online rumours circulated regarding the movie’s narrative prior to the official title being revealed, with some people thinking it might include dinosaurs. In an interview, McGregor refuted this claim, saying he was unaware of the origin of the rumour. He would not elaborate on the plot, but he did disclose that he and Hathaway will both play parents, suggesting a familial dynamic in the science fiction world.

Given Mitchell’s history of developing original and gripping plots in movies like ‘It Follows’ and ‘Under the Silver Lake’, ‘Flowervale Street’ is anticipated to be an interesting and thrilling tale. Both Hathaway and McGregor have a number of forthcoming films in the works. Hathaway will star in ‘The Odyssey’, ‘Mother Mary’, ‘Paper Tiger’, and ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, while McGregor will make appearances in a number of films, including ‘The Cow’ and ‘Everest’.
On 14th August 2026, ‘Flowervale Street’ will be released in theatres.
