Ariana Grande appeared to be reflecting on the past as she shared a year-end statement on her Instagram story summarising the events of 2023. The ‘Thank U, Next’ artist described this year as one of the "most transformative" and seemingly addressed speculations surrounding her romantic life.

“One of the most transformative, most challenging, and yet happiest and most special years of my life,” she began in the statement. “There were so many beautiful and yet polarised feelings.”

The acclaimed hitmaker additionally conveyed sentiments about her professional growth and development throughout the course of her career.

“I’ve never felt more at the mercy of and in acceptance of what life was screaming to teach me. I’ve never felt more fulfilled by or present in my work, being able to cherish every moment,” Ariana added in the note. “I gave everything I could have possibly given of my heart and of myself to the projects I was fortunate enough to be a part of and learned so much from every brilliant, beautiful, soul that I had the privilege of creating art with and crossing paths with this year.”

Ariana emphasised, "I have learned the substantial importance of one over the other." In her detailed reflection, she shared, "I am actively listening to and trusting myself, even when fear or past traumas attempt to dissuade me. I am choosing to respond to situations that genuinely warrant my energy while simultaneously distancing myself and safeguarding against those that do not."
