Ariana Grande Explains Why She’s Skipping a 2025 Tour

Ariana Grande has put her acting career first and temporarily stopped touring. The ‘Wicked’ actress revealed in a December interview with Variety that although she will always be involved in music and stage performances, she does not currently have any plans to tour. She clarified that she is embracing acting as her current artistic home and that it has become her primary creative expression.

Grande, who plays Glinda in the ‘Wicked’ films, thanked her fans for their understanding and for their tolerance during her journey with the film. She added in jest that she might perform at her mother’s house if she ever did.

Her record label, Republic Records, responded to speculation earlier in the week on a 2025 tour that was triggered by events on Ticketmaster. They underscored Grande’s gratitude for her fans’ continued love and enthusiasm while clarifying that there are no plans for a tour in the upcoming year.

Grande has made references to performing in between the two ‘Wicked’ movies, but it appears that for the time being, acting is still her major priority. Her most recent tour, the ‘Sweetener World Tour’, which supported her 2018 album ‘Sweetener’ and 2019’s ‘Thank You, next’, took place five years ago.
