The holidays just got a little bit sweeter, all thanks to Ariana Grande. The pop titan dropped “k bye for now (swt live),” a live concert album, hours after her Sweetner World Tour concluded in Los Angeles.
Grande didn’t even make it to the end of her first song at the Los Angeles Forum show before breaking down in tears overwhelmed by the conclusion of her year long tour.
This tour was her first major performance toue since the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester in May 2017 that took place on her Dangerous Woman tour date; it also coincided with an imperial period in her creativity.
The 32-song live album is Ariana’s way of concluding her fourth concert tour, which ran from March 18 until December 22, on a sweet note.
The hits are all there – from recent chart-toppers like “7 Rings” and “God Is a Woman” to quintessential Grande gems like “Dangerous Woman” and “Love Me Harder.” The album spans an average night on the Sweetener tour, with some rare guest spots from Nicki Minaj and Big Sean. Other B-sides from her master discography, such as live performances of “Into You,” “Dangerous Woman,” “Break Free,” “Tattooed Heart,” “Right There,” and more are featured on the track list.
Along with the release of the album, she shared a short promo on Instagram to let fans know about the new tunes, writing, “thank u, swt. ‘k bye for now (swt live)’ out now. love u.”
It’s a triumphant end to the often-grueling practice of touring. Grande has had one heck of a year and what a way to wrap up 2019!
