Arthur Gunn — a Witchita native in USA — who is originally from Nepal has made it to American Idol‘s 11 finalists.

This is after having wooed the audience from his home. It was Disney night on American Idol so he sang ‘Kiss The Girl’ from ‘The Little Mermaid’ and the judges applauded. Arthur Gunn will be racing to the top and possibly winning it all, based on audience vote coming in from around the country now.

This is what Arthur Gunn had to say about this giant leap in his life that Americla Idol has enabled: “I can’t believe it. I want to thank all the people that voted for me. This is far beyond any wildest dream.”

And it is no surprise then that the celebrity American Idol judge, Luke Brian, said this to the Nepal native who had moved to USA for his sister’s education“It’s so fun watching you transition from this very soft spoken, quiet guy to this truly potentially massive recording artist, and I cannot wait to hear you make a record.”

Previously, Katy Perry, — our wacky favorite celeb judge on the show who recently dressed up as a toilet roll, had said to Arthur Gunn, “One thing to keep in mind: Try and connect with your eyes and look at the camera like we’re right there in front of you — that’s going to be your advantage.” And it can be safely assumed that her advice worked!

After appearing on the Top 7, the ace contestants were asked to dedicate a song to their mothers/ mother figures in life. Arthur Gunn sent out a video of him singing ‘Hey Ma’ by Bon Iver and she looked ecstatic. He said, “It’s amazing to see her reactions to me being on ‘American Idol,’” he beamed at the camera. “She’s bursting out in joy and she’s all smiles.”
