Ashley Greene And Peter Facinelli Share Funny Story of Getting in Trouble on ‘Breaking Dawn’ Set

Even though ‘Twilight’ wasn’t a comedy, there were plenty of amusing behind-the-scenes moments throughout production.
Producers trying to take away the cast’s phones was one of Ashley Greene’s greatest set experiences. Greene played Alice Cullen in the series. She chuckled at the notion when speaking at MegaCon in Orlando, stating that it was not possible for such to occur. According to her estimation, this occurred about the time they were filming the second movie in the trilogy, ‘New Moon’.
A life-sized mannequin of Kristen Stewart’s character, Bella Swan, was another incident that landed Greene and her co-star Peter Facinelli, who played Carlisle Cullen, in hot water. Facinelli revealed that he happened to fall into a table while waiting backstage during a performance and found the remarkably lifelike mannequin, which was made for a scene in which Bella breaks her neck.

In an attempt to show Stewart the pictures, the two couldn’t help but play about with it, snapping selfies, picking its nose, and feigning to lick its ears. They were caught by security, though, and producers forced them to remove the images because they were worried that spoilers might leak if their phones were compromised.
More than ten years after ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ debuted in 2012, Facinelli and Greene reconnected with other ‘Twilight’ actors Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) to reminisce on the franchise’s influence.
While filming a pivotal scene with Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen, Facinelli also recalled another amusing incident. Facinelli muttered, “I’m sorry,” during the take in which Carlisle bites Edward to transform him into a vampire, believing that Carlisle ought to have requested consent beforehand. He leaned in and said, “Rob, you’re so handsome,” which made Pattinson smile a little on the second try. The final version of the movie included that take.
