Ashnikko Debuts Simlish Adaptation of Fiery ‘Halloweenie 6’
Ashnikko has unveiled a Simlish rendition of their high-energy Halloween anthem, Halloweenie 6: Possess Me. The track is featured in The Sims 4’s latest Life and Death expansion pack.
According to a developer blog, the expansion introduces new gameplay mechanics, allowing Sims to remain in the household as playable characters even after death. These ghostly Sims can either create chaos for the living or offer their assistance.
Ashnikko expressed excitement about the inclusion of Halloweenie 6: Possess Me in the expansion. They shared on social media that the song, sung entirely in the fictional Simlish language, marks a significant milestone for them. They also highlighted unique features of the expansion, such as romancing the Grim Reaper, bathing in the River Styx, performing occult magic, scaring the living, and listening to Ashnikko’s music within the game.
Ashnikko humorously shared that there isn’t a Simlish word for Lexapro, referencing the anti-anxiety medication mentioned in the lyrics of her track. The artist posted footage of herself recording the song and added the playful comment about the lack of a translation for the d**g.
Having released a Halloweenie song each year for the past six Halloweens, Ashnikko revealed that Possess Me will be the final installment in the series. She explained in a press release that for the last track in the collection, she aimed to create something playful, euphoric, and supernatural. In her vision, the song would accompany a gathering of creatures in the darkest part of the forest, where they would dance and indulge in a mixture of carnal and supernatural experiences.
Additionally, Ashnikko performed Paint The Town Blue, a single from the season two soundtrack of Arcane, the Netflix show inspired by League of Legends. The song was the lead single for the season, and the accompanying music video saw Ashnikko channeling the persona of Jinx, one of the show’s most iconic characters. Earlier this month, she debuted the song live at the League of Legends 2024 World Championship, where Linkin Park also performed at the opening ceremony in London’s O2 Arena.
In unrelated news, it was reported that Baldur’s Gate 3 has sold copies in Vatican City, sparking speculation among fans about whether the Pope has been playing the fantasy role-playing game.
