Barbra Streisand Praises Gracie Abrams After Seeing Her Debut Performance on ‘SNL’
Barbra Streisand recently praised Gracie Abrams following her debut on Saturday Night Live on December 14. Abrams appeared on the show as a musical guest, performing two tracks, and Streisand was among the viewers who tuned in. The legendary singer shared her thoughts on Instagram, calling Abrams a “wonderful new singer” and posting an image from her performance.
Streisand also highlighted Abrams’ connection to filmmaker J.J. Abrams, referring to him as her friend and noting their familial relationship.
During her SNL appearance, Abrams performed ‘That’s So True’ and ‘I Love You, I’m Sorry.’ The latter track is from her latest album, The Secret Of Us, while the former was included in the deluxe edition of the record, released in October.

Earlier this month, Abrams joined Taylor Swift on stage during the final leg of Swift’s Eras Tour. Together, they performed a mash-up of ‘I Love You, I’m Sorry’ and Swift’s ‘Last Kiss’ from the 2010 album Speak Now. The two artists previously collaborated on the track ‘Us,’ featured on Abrams’ album, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The category includes competitors like Beyoncé and Post Malone’s ‘Levi’s Jeans’ and Charli XCX and Billie Eilish’s ‘Guess.’
Looking ahead, Abrams is set to embark on The Secret Of Us Asia tour in 2025, with stops in Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Thailand. This tour will follow her UK and European performances beginning in March 2025.
Notably, Abrams recently disclosed that a “very vulgar” version of ‘That’s So True’ exists but insisted it would never be released. She revealed that the only people who have heard the alternate version are Mumford & Sons—and even they heard it by accident.
